The existing jet fuel delivery network that serves Vancouver International Airport (YVR) does not have the capacity to meet the long-term fuel requirements at the airport, especially during peak demand periods. VAFFC’s proposed jet fuel delivery project is designed to meet YVR’s long-term fuel requirements with a safe, reliable and economic system that gives greater access to fuel supply world-wide. It will also contribute to the continued success of YVR and the benefits the airport brings to our community and the economy. It is currently undergoing regulatory review in a harmonized federal/provincial environmental assessment process, with the BC Environmental Assessment Office coordinating the review requirements of both the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and BC Environmental Assessment Act.
